Who Are You?

Ever found yourself nudged in a direction you were unsure about, perhaps even stepping into wrong, but never explicitly instructed to do so? In our latest sermon, we delved deep into Genesis 27, unearthing the compelling narrative of Rebekah steering Jacob into an ambiguous identity crisis by having him present himself as his brother, Esau, to his unsuspecting father, Isaac.
The takeaway from this biblical episode is profound: we must stand on our own convictions, even in the face of external influences. It’s a call to be true to our identity, to embrace our God-given blessings, and not to assume the identity of others for approval or favor. As modeled by Jacob’s misstep, straying away from our own conviction could lead to unnecessary baggage or even regret.
The question echoes through the ages and resonates with us today: "What is your name?" It's a spiritual incitement challenging us to embody the identity God has crafted for us. Remember, Yeshua paid the ultimate price so that we could embrace our authentic selves.
Are you ready to fully embrace your true identity in Yeshua? Listen to the full sermon here and join us in church this Sunday. In the meantime, take a moment to ponder: "Who are you?"
