Good morning, Rapha family! We’re diving deeper into our series, “The Greatest Summer Ever,”
and today, we’re unpacking what it means to truly love God and love people.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to live out our mission: Love God. Love People. Do Good.
Sounds simple, right? But let’s be real—sometimes we complicate it. We create our own plans
and forget to ask God what His mission is for us.
In Matthew 22:36-40, Jesus is asked about the greatest commandment, and He doesn’t
hesitate. He sums it all up: Love God with everything you have and love your neighbor as
yourself. Simple yet profound!
But here's the catch: we often add qualifiers. We think, “I’ll love you if…” or “You need to change
first.” That’s not how Jesus operates. He invites us to love without strings attached, embracing
others just as they are.
So, how do we live this out? Start by being present with God. Connect with Him intimately,
whether through prayer, worship, or simply being in nature. Then, extend that love to those
around you. Who in your life needs a kind word or a listening ear?
Remember, love is a choice. This week, let’s challenge ourselves to love God wholeheartedly
and reach out to those who need it most—without judgment or expectation.
As we embark on this journey of love, let’s ask ourselves: "Yeshua, who are You calling me to
love today?"
What are your thoughts?
