Roots to Branches: Embracing the Jewish Heritage of Our Faith

Sunlight shining through branches under clear skies

Have you ever stopped to think about the rich roots of your faith? In a recent sermon titled "Roots To Branches," we were reminded of the importance of honoring our Jewish heritage. Drawing from Romans 11:18, we explored the imagery of being grafted into the olive tree of Israel—Jew and Gentile united in God's plan.

This message goes beyond a history lesson; it's a call to gratitude and repentance. We must acknowledge the harm caused by supersessionism and strive for unity with our Jewish brothers and sisters. As Gentile followers of Yeshua, our response should be marked by humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of connection to our shared story.

As we reflect on this truth, let's take practical steps to show our gratitude. Reach out to a Jewish neighbor, learn more about Jewish history, or simply listen to someone's story. Let's build a Gratitude Wall in our hearts and in our community, honoring our roots and embracing unity.

Join us in this journey of gratitude and unity. Let's stand side by side, Jew and Gentile, holding hands in gratitude for the faith we share. Together, let's be grateful every day for our roots and the unity Yeshua has brought us. Amen.
